Window bead

Hello all,
I have a number of modernish wooden sash windows. On some of them, parts of the exterior bead which help retain the window pane (mainly the lower horizontal ones) have started to rot and I want to replace them. The bead has a particular profile section, it's basically rectangular but the top face is angled downwards so that the front face is a couple of mm shorter than the rear face. The front top edge is also rounded slightly.
Is it likely that I can buy bead with this profile? I'm hoping someone's going to say that there are a small number of standard beads for this sort of window.
TIA,
H.

A lot of the big DIY sheds have a rack of different shapes of mouldings in stock so that might be a good place to look. Wickes are probably cheaper than the others so start there.Adventure before Dementia!0

i found the standard window beads in the diy sheds not the right dimensions for my sash so ended up sanding and planing a bit of strip woodPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

most beads are similar but the easiest way is to unpin one wrotten bead and take it to B&Q, they'll run some for you if not instock
sashmanBuying quality goods which last, should be an investment that saves money. :T
Buying cheap products which fail, wastes money and costs twice as much in the long run. :mad:0
