French bread Pan- how do I use?

Bought one of these a while ago with the idea of making lovely baguettes but it didn't come with any recipe/instructions. I'm probably being reeeeally dense but how do I use it? Am feeling productive and want to be a domestic goddess. I have a breadmaker so assume would make dough in that - then what. Many thanks.
I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

It'll be the same as making bread in any tin
Make the dough, allow it one rise in the bowl. Knock it back, knead and shape. Place into lightly greased tin and allow to rise until doubled in size (about 45 mins in this weather). Bake in a hot oven, about gas 7 for about 20 mins. You'll know when it's cooked as when you tap the bottom - it'll sound hollow.

Mrs M's recipe looks delicious, not sure where I would get fresh yeast from around here - anyone know how much dried yeast would work instead?I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0
