Not an expert on this, but when I was investigating engineered wood floor the cost of it could be due to the thickness of the actual wood used. I read that thicker ones would last longer because they can be sanded down like real wood floors. But if it's thin, it can't. So that could be a reason why it's a good price?
As for fitting, yes - it's like laminate flooring that clicks in (or at least the ones we were looking at were). That was one of the advantages for choosing engineered over solid wood for us. However we ended up with carpet

I believe parawood is a softer wood. If you google it you'll find more information about it.0
