Hmmmm this blog says "Nintendo decided to block some websites that had features for the Wii, like BBC’s iPlayer. So if you use the iPlayer on your Wii, don’t update download the update."

Very stupid if they decided to do that! I'm going to see if there is any more evidence to back that up.

Correct that the Sep 09 update to Wii Browser doesn't work with BBC iPlayer. But this isn't Nintendo blocking it - it is the BBC iPlayer not coping with the updated Browser. There is a page from the BBC promising an updated player that will be wii compatible "later in the year"

Doesn't work sorry, used to use their download facility for PC as a get around so i could then copy a show onto a memory stick plug into the xbox and watch on TV but they've got rid of it, was looking forward to generation kill as well
