Concerned about consequence of reclaiming

Hi,
I am about to start helping my friend reclaim bank charges, and it seems he would fit the financial hardship criteria.
This claim will be against Barclays, he has a current account with them which has an overdraft of £400 which is up to the limit, and a personal loan with them in the region of £10,000. His credit rating is poor.
He has recently opened a new account with A&L and transfered his wages and direct debits to that account. He is also being charged for things on this account, and I may help him claim them back too.
My question is, what will happen to these barclays debts if he reclaims and their relationship suffers. I'm worry this will end up making his situation worse.
Thanks

Hi
Dont worry, reclaiming the bank charges will not effect the loan with barclays at all.
re the overdraft, the only thing i would say in respect of that is that if your friend does get paid out under the hardship rule, they may pay some or all of the money in to the account that is being claimed on, so in effect it may go towards paying the OD off, but any surplus would be available to withdraw;)Abbey Claim 1 - WON £2300 Inc Interest :rotfl:
Abbey Claim 2 - Won £990 :rotfl:
Abbey Claim 3- £1157.80 + Interest @0.25 per day (LBA)
