Is it possible to set up the email on an iphone 3gs in the same way as a blackberry? ie so that i would get a message every time an email is received.
If so, i would really appreciate a link that explains how to do it.

There are ways and means, especially if you have the new 3.0 software and you use Microsoft Exchange. Google for "iphone push email" and you'll get a variety of how-to guides and hacks.0
