We had a cold calling company call round who stated we could get it for free as we are paid child tax credit. We did not bother in the end as we sold the house shortly after.0

Yes we recently bought lots of Carbon Zero Loft insulation from Homebase £5 per roll. It was a time limited offer but they appear to have extended it. Homebase staff helped OH fit as many rolls as possible into her car before paying (surprised how many would fit!!) then reserved the rest to go pick up later. Haven't laid it yet it's just sat up in the loft waiting.

yep i saw that, but from what i understood its only used to top up existing insulation0 -
No you can use it if you've got none at all...but you would need to lay one layer between joists then another back over the top - i.e. twice as much.

Im getting my loft done by our local council,(Bristol)
It would have been free if we were recieving benefits, we are not, but we still got a grant, which means we've had our three bedroom house loft done for £95
I know the scheme was partly being covered by N-Power, even though they arent our suppliers.
Maybe worth getting in touch with your local council
