I have seen good reports from the Dension system sold in halfords etc.
It uses FM modulation but not transmitted, it has a wire that goes into the back of your car stereo then the car aerial goes into the dension system to pass through normal radio.
Keeps the interferance to a min.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep

+1 on the itrip.
Had one for around 6 years and it works perfectly with any FM device, anywhere (car, home, pub etc.)

Kensington are a good make. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

The wire-free ones are all rubbish especially in London where the airwaves are extremely crowded. Get an cassette adapter if your car systems allow for one.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0

Cassette adaptors routinely have awful sound quality.
Any fully legal in UK transmitter will give very poor results in a car due to the radio being shielded and the aerial is outside.
So instead try something dodgy from Ebay - this link will only last as long as the auction but: MP3 WMA Player FM Modulator CAR TRANSMITTER LCD USB SD
It's an all-in-one unit, simply copy all your mp3 or wma files onto memory and plug into the cig socket. Beware of gearstick position though, sometimes it gets in the way.
Or 200 FREQUENCY LCD FM TRANSMITTER FOR IPOD NANO MP3 UK
- more bits of wire around but will play from any device with a 3.5mm earphone socket. Looks suspiciously like a Belkin but who knows what the power output might be? Let's put it this way, I have heard stonking results from cheap items like this off Ebay.
Via Ebay these are as cheap as chips so I suggest, experiment.0 -

.....
I've only ever had a sound quality problem with my itrip once. I quickly realised it was because the ipod volume was turned down to around 50%. duh.
For it to work properly, the volume must be turned up to 80%+. You then adjust the volume using the radio volume control. :cool:Marching On Together
