HSBC credit card for a FD a/c holder

I was just wondering if anyone knows (ideally from personal experience) whether being a First Direct a/c holder helps when applying for an HSBC credit card?

Also, does it have the same advantage as First Direct's own credit card, in not showing up on credit records?

Thanks in advance for any information,

DT

  • It would be better to get a First Direct Card (larger limits ... some people have gotten £25k card)

Ah yes, but I've already done that... ;D

I suppose I'm just being greedy, but if it didn't show up at the credit reference agencies, as the FD one didn't, then that would be a bonus, no search, no increase in debt taken into account by other lenders.

But thanks for the thought. If anyone does know then I'd love to hear...
