Talk Talk Calls Only

I have had free evening and weekend calls with TalkTalk for a few years now it was a special offer when I first got it
Always kept my line rental with BT.
BT were charging for this deal at the time

I just went to check my monthly calls only to discover that they had changed me from my free calls and been charging me for them
Supposed to be going to refund and put me back on starting 17th Sept

Strongly thinking of going back to BT for calls as they now do the same plan for free.

I thought TalkTalk should have informed me what they were going to do instead of just changing it:confused:

Of course they should have. IMHO, you have a very good case for recovering the cost of the calls which they should not have charged you for - but you may have to initiate Small Claims Court proceedings to get your money back.

I'd certainly say it's time to consider who you want as your CPS calls provider - but beware of those which have now gone to WCLI (apart from Talk Talk, I am aware that Sky Talk, AOL and Orange have done so).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

I think I will give BT a ring tomorrow and move my calls back with them,
I have my line with them so will be easy to add calls again

Talk Talk Calls only plans are not very competitive anymore. They seem to be interested in only signing up phone rental and broadband customers on long 18/24 month contracts.

Talk Talk are a complete nightmare and I would not recommend them to my worse enemy ,,if you want just a phone line try Post Office there no contract and there a lot cheaper and give more free bees ie;- free calls to mobiles at weekends ! worth a look !

I've had exactly the same thing happen, they've unilaterally changed my deal and started charging for evening calls. I've demanded they put my back and refund the charges taken. If they do not sort this promptly, I'll have no hesitation in leaving. This is disgraceful behaviour!

Well I am going back to bt for calls because if they can do it once whats to stop it happening again.
Was told she had changed it to refund the call charges but it is not showing as reduced on my online bill.
My calls this month are 4 times more with not having my free calls.

Went to cancel TalkTalk was told that all my bill was paid and I would have nothing to pay this month as it was their error so will stay a bit longer.

Credit where credit due Talk Talk as good as their word and have not billed me for any calls I made in August even the ones that I should have paid for.
