aarrghhh dishwasher decisions...

My head hurts! :o
Am trying to decide on a dishwasher, was originally going to get a slimline but have decided on full size now.
We think we want a bosch one, as they are supposed to be reliable without being as pricey as a miele (would love one, but too much :()
My head is going round in circles-cannot decide between an excell 50e12, or a 50e02
or there is a classixx one that is cheaper
Is there a massive difference between exxcel and classixx? Or can you recommend a good reliable DW in the £300-400 range. I want it to have a half wash function, as there is only 2 of us so may not always fill it quickly, and dont fancy dishes sitting in it for more than a couple days....

I have an Exxcell washing machine and it has a lot more functions than the classixx so I am guessing that will be the difference?

I am about to get a free classixx slimline dishwasher off my mum though :D The vendors left it in the kitchen when she bought her house but she too wants to go full size.

Thanks, when I look at that there doesn't seem a massive difference between the exxcell models I have chosen or the classixx.
Is it worth paying an extra £100 for a siemens one with a 5 year warranty?

The more expensive machines just tend to have more programmes. Can't speak for others, but we tend to only ever use 3 of the 7 programmes on our Bosch. Have had 2 Bosch d/w's and never had any problems with them.

Bosch give extra 3 years warranty for for £69 on top of the standard two years. Is there any difference in features between the Siemens and Bosch?

we had had a bosch classixx thats done us proud for 5 years with no probs at all, used the main wash and eco wash functions only. Only changed because we wanted a built in for our new kitchen and it even fetched a decent price on ebay.

The main difference that I can see is that the Siemens one has glass care, adjustable shelves, a cutlery shelf/drawer rather than a basket on the bottom. It also has a Half Load / Zone Wash Option which washes upper and lower drawers individually, which sounds good. is £100 more than the exxcel, but nearly 200 more than the classixx-is it worth it?
Where do you see the extra warranty for £69? All I can see is a 3rd party extended warranty, sorry if being thick!

We recently bought this Smeg http://www.dishwasherreviews.org.uk/smeg-dishwashers/smeg-df612sdx-stainless-steel-dishwasher/

Only had it for a few weeks so I can't comment on the reliability, but it certainly performs pretty well. It also seems to be able to hold a lot more than some other dishwashers I've used - not sure why, but the trays seem to be more sensibly designed.

Dishwashers are different from washing machines
in that you mostly use the sme cycle over and
over again. If I was buying again I would buy a
more basic model, because I have paid extra for
features I will never use.I have the Exell

Bosch is a reliable enough make the only down
side to mine a lot of the cycles take a lot longer
to finish.I have tried out the lot and now use the
rapid wash works fine as long as I only use
    Finish Quantom tabs.
