please can someone help me with this...

Hi there

Tonight my car was parked outside and someone has hit it. Ive rung my insurance (More-than) and advised and they are dealing with it.

My insurance is due for renewal with More-than on 14th Jan 05.

I wasnt going to renew with them as they are not very cheap compared to what Ive found from this site etc but i thaught it would be easier. So I rang them tonight to check what my monthly payments are and they have put UP my payments and increased my excess. so I definately dont want to go with them! They wont match any other quotes Ive had either.

If I DONT renew with them will it affect this current claim???

Any advice welcome

also I have my NCD protected.
Thank you :D

It shouldn't affect your current claim whatsoever however they could be a little slower if you change insurers :)

Your premiums with other insurers will also be higher because of the claim, and you will have to wait until the NCB is sorted out to get it back (assuming you will?)

If it's a hit and run your NCB is toast in any case, I presume. :(

If your NCB is protected then you will be fine - however you will still have to tell the new insurer about the claim and will need to supply proof of your NCB, which you have to request from your current insurer.
