BT Calling Plans

Seems to be impossible to sign up to a BT Calling Plan online now without committing yourself to a 12 month contract, you used to be able to pick the non-12 month ones as well. Do the non-12 month contract plans no longer exist?
Before anyone says these can be bettered, they can't for the person this is for as short codes are not an option, and with the requirement for 2 calls a month for caller display this is the best.
Edit: I should add this is for the Anytime Plan.

"Unlimited Anytime Plan – standard plan
The Unlimited Plan is available up until 27th August 2009 to eligible residential customers with no minimum term. Please note, a minimum term of 12 months applies to line rental for new customers and those switching their phone line from another provider, signing up to this calling plan.
The price is £5.95 per month plus line rental, which has a monthly cost of £11.25. The total price you pay is £17.20 per month. All of these prices apply if you pay by Direct Debit or monthly payment plan and elect for paper-free billing. Otherwise add £1.50 per month for payment processing fee levied by BT Payment Services "

No doubt BT is learning from Sky by getting people on 12 month contracts with no other option. I notice the T&Cs now talk about 18 month contracts. Soon BT will want a lifetime contract0
