Gas HELL!

I bet no - one is going to be able to help but I have come to a full stop with the stupid gas companies
Apparently when we moved in december the meter was read at it was 403 and they estimated all the way through then my housemate moved and switched to british gas the final bill £2000! the final meter ready 1935, I just can't understand how that much has been used - so far for what we have paid and the bills we have received means our gas is £240 every month - its a 4 bed house and we house share - its one boiler for heating and hot water (only use showers) is there anything that could be wrong (I wish we had kept an eye on the meter!)

When did you move in (what date was the reading 403 taken?) when was the final reading 1935 taken, is this actual or estimated? How much have you paid so far? Is your meter metric or imperial? (does it have 4 or 5 numbers and end in ft3 or m3)0

Hi if you can find out the cost of the units and calculate your bill your selfs then see if they tally your bills seam very high, one of my daughters is in a 8 bed shared house and they pay appx £60-£100 per 1/4 each for the gas but it is a very old drafty house.where we are in a 3 bed and pay appx £200 -£300 for the whole year, If your figures tally then chances are you used that amount but if they don't then I would pop down to your citizen advice center and have a word with them they might be able to tell you the best way of sorting it out0
