I have a computer from Lidl thats got Bullguard Antivirus Antispyware Firewall on it
running VISTA I visited a website today using NOSCRIPT and noticed I had been infected by About Blank Virus yet when I checked Bullguard its stated its license had expired it no longer worked in the meantime I scanned with malwarebytes Antispyware this can back clear I managed to get BullGuard working about and currently giving my Pc a thorough scan

what can I do to protect myself against "About Blank"?

'About Blank' isnt a virus. Its really nothing to worry about.
Bullguard not working might point to a virus but 'about blank' isnt the actual problem
Have you updated and run a FULL malwarebytes scan? If not then do so and please post the log

then ~

Click DO A SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE (Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running

Sorry, I would not count avast in that category.

I can't recommend Kaspersky either, until they sort out what has become real bloatware. Kaspersky is a machine hog!
