Barcelona to Montpellier by train, some help please!!

I want to catch the train from Barcelona to Montpelier on the 19th July 06, and have been doing some digging around and I just wanted to see if anyone had any advice for me.
I was thinking of catching the Catalan Talgo (Talgo service) from the station Barcelona – Estacio De Franca. It takes around 4 hours and takes about 8 stops.
I am not really worried about time or cost (but in true MSE style, being cheap would be a distinct advantage), I just want a good service.
I.e. I want an intercity style train rather than a slam door, Fenchurch street train from times of old (those from Essex will know what I mean)
But seriously guys any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

try trainline. I booked Barca to Perpignan last year and it was great.
Local trains are very cheap - and have a bus/ tram feel - Inter city trains are better but dearer

Www.seat61.com has a lot of info on booking trains abroad (and best way to get valule for money) plus links to different agencies/booking offices
Official spanish train site is:
www.renfe.es
Official agency in UK for Spanish trains
www.spanish-rail.co.uk
Price quoted on this site for Barcelona Montepelier = 49E Standard, 68E 1st class
Or use www.sncf.fr (english button bottom left hand corner) - you can pay in Euros on line or pick up tickets in London. Tickets cost the same as the spanish site. nb. 2nd class ticket = 90% refundable prior to date of travel 50% after, 1st class ticket = 100% prior to date of travel, 50% after.0 -

Thanks lily the pink, I have just ordered by tickets from the SNCF website. Very easy to use but I had to get my tickets delivered to my parents house in France, as they would not send them to a UK address, but still at least it is sorted.Rock on MSE!!!0
