Problems with MBNA Conran Cashback

Options
I have been with these guys for 18 months or so but they have only ever given me 1 cashback payment of around £25. Since then they have not credited my card, I thought they might do this automatically after 3 or 6 months etc, but they still have yet to do so after they have assured me twice that it will be credited to my next statement.

And surprise surprise it has not appeared on my April statement. The cashback (profit shares) is shown on my account (i.e. I am still accruing them) but they never seem to credit my account. The reason I am getting !!!!!! off is that I wish to close the card but I don’t want to lose what is owed to me and I am pretty sure if I close my account they wont send me the closing balance of my shares (they will probably hit me with some T&C's crap)

Has anyone else had any problems with this?

What can be down to resolve the matter? (apart from me spending 30 mins on the phone all day until they decide to pay up!!)

I may be totally wrong here (maybe someone can confirm this??), but isn't it the case that the Conran 'cashback' gets credited sometime in the summer, I think it may be July 31st annually?
  • can anyone collaborate this?

    as this would make sense!

You are not the first one to wary about it: Conran card cashback for this year? . Last year my cashback was credited 02/05. I'll start being nervous at the end of May :D

I got my MBNA statement for April a few days ago, no cashback as yet. Hopefully it will be in the May statement.

I had my last cashback on 2nd May 2005 also. I've just checked the MBNA website, and this years has been credited on the 1st May. However is not exactly 1%. They seem to have rounded-down to the nearest pound, e.g. £61 pound when last statement had a share balance of 61.89. Last year it was a pound per share exactly.

Same here. On website, cashback credited 1st May. At 1% rounded down to whole pounds. Maybe the pence will get carried over? Better than nothing at all.

Just checked on MBNA website, my cashback of £188 came through on 1 May. Bit annoying as my share allowance was £188.97, so 3p more and I would have had another £1!!
