I want to be able to enter a site address (like https://www.lifehacker.com), and browse for images residing in the root directory (like https://www.lifehacker.com/image1.jpg)
Is this possible?
If so, what software would I use?

Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Hmmm, thanks for that, however I've already tried it on my own domain, but it doesn't show all images (jpg). This is why I was hoping there might be some software that would allow me to perhaps to a more specific search.0

You could try intellitamper (free) or teleport pro (paid/free trial), they both cache full domains for offline browsing, but you might get some unhappy system admins.0

I believe Serif MediaPlus will do this for you. I've just checked www.freeserifsoftware.com and it's not listed there but I have seen the old version (1.0) on cover disks of computer magazines recently. Just checked and it was on PC Answers 157 (April 2006). However it's not a great piece of software IMHO unless you can get it as a freebie. Check www.serif.com for more specs on the program0

Blackwidow will do what you want. I did come across a free equivalent on SourceForge a while back but have forgotten what it's called.
It's basically a spider that'll look through pages, pulling out any image, javascript references etc..."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
