What's cheapest option in this situation?
Hi
Ok the situation is this:
I live in a static caravan on a site that does not have access to landlines.
Therefore I can only use a mobile phone for communication as much as I would a landline if I lived in a house. Which is often anytime of day, evening, week, weekends.
To keep the bills lower and be personally responsible for our bills we ideally need 3 mobile phones
1 for me (anytime)
1 for husband (anytime)
1 for business (as both of us are self employed) (used mostly during office hours and majority incoming calls but also odd outgoing call if business related as easier to keep on books.)
I have just ended my 1 year contract with O2 so have no mobile 'live' at present and would like to get a 'flip' handset as have had past trouble with acccidental dialing people even when keypad locked. Preferably not with O2 simcard as have had past bad feelings with them and negative issues.
Husband has recently obtained a new 12 month contract so has some time left on that but unhappy with it as cost too much.
Business mobile contract will be up for renewal in February 05 but will probably terminate it and go on Pay as you go as previosly said majority calls are inbound and no texts (except backup should my or husbands quota reached).
Business also has a 3G Datacard on Orange contract to connect laptop to internet, but no talk calls can be made on this as not enabled.
We live in Chichester / Bognor Regis area of West Sussex should that need considering for reception purposes.
Family use various mobile phone companies for their mobiles.
With all this information on board can anyone suggest next best options for us to save money after failing to cut down on handsets?
Should our best options be looking at contract or Pay and Go?
Sorry everyone it's such a long post but needed to set the scenario!
EEEK! what have I let myself in for now ???
THANKS
;D

This should suit you. £3.99 per month for 12 months, 500 mins anytime, any network, plus 100 texts per month. Free Nokia 7600 phone. Not a flip phone, but hey, you can't have everything in this world:

Or a similar offer on the same phone at £2.99 per month on Carphonewarehouse January Sale (https://www.carphonewarehouse.co.uk - off the front page). It may be worth checking as some of the cashback sites may also link through to get the price lower - plus CPW offer you up to £20 if you send back an old mobile (including manual and charger).

I can't see it for £2.99 at CPW any longer Mr B.0

It was definitely there when I posted the message last night - it has since been removed from the January Sale area and the home page. Under the 3 Pay Monthly area (following the links through) it is now £2.99 month for 6 months only ... and out of stock :'(. Back to the e2save.com deal! (if going for e2save, I recall someone was offering cashback on the deal to you and a donation to charity - listed on the referrals board).
Mr B0 -
Thanks so far everyone who has responded.
Does BT or Tesco or any company do a monthly bill mobile? Not a fixed contract but I mean a similar bill to having a home phone landline where I pay for the calls I have made or it gives me selected cheaper calls like best friend or BT options etc?
I fear that going back to Pay and Go will prove costly and I dont really want to get tid into another 1 month contract even if it is £5 a month cheaper say than top ups, if that makes sense?
Any other options or suggestions welcome
Thanks!0
