Hi
Ive never canceled a credit card before, but im moving home so i may as well cancel it as i used the 0% interest and no longer need this card.
Do i write to them? If so does any one have the address a si cant see a cancelation page on the website.

calling them should be sufficient0

Really, i thought they would make it difficult and want it in writing (not that that is difficult).0

Account closure is covered in section 7 [specifically 7(b)] of your T&Cs/credit agreement.0

Well I've hunted the website and found t&cs for bank accounts, for the insurance product on the credit cards and even the t&cs for the website itself but not the actual t&cs fo credit cards.
Would you care to shae the link to the T&cs or even better quote 7b, I'd be very grateful.
thanks0 -
Might have been quicker to find your own?...unless you've packed them ready for your move.taffytim22 wrote: »Well I've hunted the website and found t&cs for bank accounts, for the insurance product on the credit cards and even the t&cs for the website itself but not the actual t&cs fo credit cards.

"(b) You may end the agreement at any time by advising us in writing or by
telephone. If you end the agreement you must return all cards (ensure the CHIP
is cut in half) and repay all the amounts you owe under the agreement."
So i still need to send it to them would this be the place?

No cc company has ever asked me to return a card when I've cancelled my account. It's really not a big deal, just call them and tell them.
ETA - in fact they usually offer you some sort of 'deal' to stay with them, if you've been a good customer.0 -
cut it in half and send it back to them thats a good enough hint. i closed my old hbos card and rung then found it still showing live on my credit report 3 years after closed. spoke to them on fone and they sed i need to send card in before they can close. its still on there now.0

I've closed dozens of cards and never had to send a card back
Unless they provide a prepaid envelope I wouldn't be inclined to
