It seems Argos are either handing out either the 8x variant of these, media ID RITEKG05, or in certain stores the 16x variant of these, media ID RITEKF1 / RICOHJPNR03. Meaning the media is actually quite impressive!

These aren't as cheap as found online, but some people don't like shopping online so these are now a brilliant bargain for the high street spender:

I think Maxell are quite high quality too

I didn't want to get too technical, but have you identified the dye code? AFAIK these could be Ritek G05 which is unbeatable at 20p on the high street

Not sure what dye it is (see if i can find out), but is a nice blue/purple colour.

I read somewhere that if the spindle container has that 'step' half way down then they're probably Taiyo Yuden (which is even better). The only time I ever purchased Maxells (in that shape container) they did indeed prove to be TY's.

The £9.99 price before is either Argos being stupid or does indeed mean a quality manufacturer...The blue colour also seems to suggest TY.

Yep they are..... Again you would be surprised we don't get many back, that goes for the mikomi ones too

Why does it say they are 1-8x speed discs but if you look at the image(enlarge if you can't see it) on the tub it says 1-4x speed?
So which is it?
