How to find good value package holidays

Our children, girls age 13 & 11 are desperate to have a package type holiday in the sun this year. We don't want to spend a fortune and I have looked around the web but don't really know what to search for! We are thinking 1 or 2 weeks, probably self catering but happy for breakfast or half board if the price is right. It must have a pool, or easy access to one, maybe spain or greece, but open to suggestions, prefer to do our own thing so near amenities but kids clubs and evening entertainment etc., not high on the list. The only thing that is important is not more than an hour for the transfer, I am not a good traveller. Could fly from Norwich, Stanstead or possibly Gatwick, open on when we go, probably end june/early july or october but could be anytime between but am thinking would be too expensive.

Anybody know of any good websites, or can recommend an actual resort or any other helpful info!
Thanks in advance
Emma

How about the Costa Dorada good beaches you dont have to stay right slap bang in the middle of Salou where its really touisty you could opt for Cap Salou less OTT
Or if you like the idea of staying in the universal resort hotels the kids could theme park them selves with dad while you chill by the pool ..or in my case I would be round the theme pars hubby would be by the pool quivering ...he hates heights...wimp..lol
