editing in picasa

I have a cropped picture in picasa which I want to send to ebay but it comes out on ebay as the original unaltered version .why does this happen and how can I fix it ?? I've only just started to use picture editing and sending and its a bit daunting. 
Not confused anymore!! Picasa wont export edited pics. you have to save to another file and use that! :j
