Hi guys,
can anyone help me please.
I am going to Mauritius for 10 days and am stopping over in the seychelles for a few hours to change planes.
If i buy single trip insurance does it cover me for my stop over too or do i need to specify that.
Does anyone know of a good company they could remcommend me?
I would be really grateful for any help!
Thank you x

Providing the seychelles is within the same geogrophical rating area as Mauritius you should find it automaticaly covered.
I woudl recommend you avoid anything that is underwritten by Axa or White Horse (They white label their products to many different policies). You can check the actual insurer by looking at the Key Facts / Summary of Cover (You should be reading this document before you buy any policy anyway)
P.S If you going to Mauritius its often a similar price or even cheaper to buy an annual multi trip policy so look at the prices for those as well0 -
Thank you for this - I have been looking at OUL direct. I have had a quote for annual multi trip and it is definitely cheaper so i think that would be my choosen route
However i am not sure about their excesses at the moment. They seem quite high so i need to compare them to another company.
Thank you again for your help!0 -
Try and keep your excess to something managable eg circa £50, a lot of Insurers quote with a big excess as it means they can offer a lower premium, most customers see the price and do not look at the excess until they make a claim.
Well done for spotting the excess, very MSE.0
