I really don't think that they can fulfill all these orders - I'd never heard of them before, so I doubt they can be a massive company.
True, it is publicity for their site, and some people will now want to order from them again. But at the moment, this has been viewed about 3000 times. If all of those people made an order, that's a potential loss of £15 000 for the company. Plus, a sudden demand for 3000 orders to be processed and sent!
As the OP for this, I'm starting to feel a bit bad for putting this on here! But good luck for everyone who does get something. And to be fair, they really should have stated a minimum spend!0 -
singlemumstudent... don't feel bad... cosmo must have a readership in excess of 620,000 so any sensible company would have taken this into account!

I wouldn't be suprised if this gets pulled when their office opens in the morning, once they suddenly see an influx of orders... be interesting to see what happens...
Do think folk using the code multiple times is taking things a step too far, but that is just my humble opinion...

TBH I wish companies wouldn't offer things like this unless they can deliver because it just turns into a marketing/advertising ploy which inevitably turns into a bunch of people on forums bashing/complaining about the company for an entire thread. This is bad publicity. Obviously Cosmo is read by hundreds of thousands of people so a couple thousand more on MSE won't make a difference. Surely they expected this to happen?
I can predict what will happen. All orders will be cancelled and the rest of this thread will be filled with complaints.
I bought Kalms which cost £8 and paid some extra money and go the £5 off and now my order probably won't be fulfilled either so I'll have to make sure they refund me. It's a bit of hassle but I guess you take a risk with things like this. I'll check tomorrow to see if the money left my account. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I'm pretty sure that in the past with offers like this, if a user of the code has actually had to pay a contribution to the order, rather than just nabbing a freebie, those orders are the ones that get fulfilled.A chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion0 -

Thanks OP what a lovely freebie

That was the one that we used. I'm guessing that they've pulled the offer because of the numbers using the code.

Just been having a look around their website...
"At GoodnessDirect we work together on a co-operative basis, all earning the same wage whether order picker or manager. Our roots are in the Jesus Fellowship Church and our profits are generally either put back into the company or used for charitable causes. If you would like to know more please ask any of us."
...interesting.... the Jesus Fellowship Church is also known as the "Jesus Army"... glad I ticked the opt out box!!!!!!
