AOL talk to BT

yeah! thats right.
any advice appreciated.
i am with AOL for broadband(c**P) speed and want to change to o2.
I have BT line rental and AOL broadband(get 0.5 mb max speed on checking)+AOL talk anytime(free with broadband).
should i first change calls over to BT first(£15 quidco) to their basic package.(no rolling contract but 12 months min term), then MAC to O2(£50 quidco+2 months free) or should i just move to O2 and the AOL talk just gets cancelled and my calls automatically move to BT bearing in mind that i am not in contract with BT at the moment.
i know of cheaper packages out there but i want unlimited broadband. Anytime calls on landline do not matter as i have enough mobile mins+unlimted landline calls on mobile anyway. O2 broadband only available with BT line.

I can't see a £15 cashback for switching to BT's Unlimited Weekend Plan on the Quidco site but, regardless of that, I'd make the changes in the order you suggest.

It may take a little longer to reach your target but you'd at least have the chance to sort out any mistakes along the road.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

so i have decided to stay with AOL for the broadband and got my bill down to £6.99 for broadband(unlimited, upto 8mb+new free router). this includes AOL talk that i already had. Am happy with the 2.5 to 3.5 mb speed that i was getting. this speed appears enough for my needs.
    line rental remains with BT.
can anyone (heinz?/)please tell me how to avoid the £2.50 charge from BT for caller display. 1280 prefix does not work with AOL talk.
have to make 2 chargeable calls per month through BT--but how.
charge card apparently doesnt work(other guys on the forum) and 1280 no longer works.

isnt this £2.50 charge a month daylight robbery. its adverised as free in calling features as part of Privacy at home(fees mentioned in small print if not making chargeable calls.)
is there a way around it or should i just consider that my actual line rental is £13.75(£2.50 +11.25) as punishment for not having my calls with BT!
