Just for the record & i'm not sure if this has been mentioned before......
MS Word has a "Find & Replace All" edit command, so if a key such as "~" was used then the entire file could be copied to another working computer. From MS Word yuo would simply select "Edit --> Find & Replace All "~" with " " press the OK button" and all the "~" would be replaced with a "space"
This is a feature I often use when editing "tab/comma delimited" files from the internet.
