Last night guess what I bought off a man in the pub?

Popped into a couple of my locals last night before wending my weary way home and one had a sort of brick-a-brack stall outside in the courtyard. Standing amongst the junk was a rather old Kenwood A701 with balloon whisk and K beater attachment. They were raising money for an orphanage in rwanda.
Solid chunk of metal it was, it seems to have some kind of pyrex bowl which wasn't chipped and the paintwork was in OK condition and the bloke in the pub swore blind it would work.
So I bunged them £20 for their troubles (I think he'd have been happy with £10 but it was for charity) and I took it home.
And it does work (thankfully) and I'm looking forward to giving it a damn good clean as it is incredibly filthy.
Any tips?

Good job you like a tipple on the way home from work or a bargain like this would have been missed. :T£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

I've just been reading the kenwood threads in the indexed collection - there's a mention of service manuals on a website but the links are all dead - anyone point me in the direction of this 22MB PDF file I need?Tim0

service manuals listed here:http://www.nodevice.com/manual/Kenwood.html
afraid that there are 10 pages of them, and I can't see another way of searching other than to trawl through the lot!0 -
gaaaah thanks seakay, unfortunately I can't actually access it right now because of the acursed corporate firewall!

But later I'll grab a copy.Tim0 -
I have the pyrex bowl and a plastic bowl for mine. Personal choice is using the pyrex bowl chilled for making pastry. Just me.
I love the fantastic sponges made with the Kenwood as you can really beat the butter and sugar together to give a really light sponge.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........
