Being charged more than £500 per year, can I claim financial hardship

I have read elsewhere in this forum that if my bank are charging more than £500 per year I can get my claim processed quickly as financial hardship. My situation is a little bit complicated my husband and I are currently living abroad which our bank is aware of but our address with the bank is still our uk address which we rent out, any letters that are sent to us there are read to us over the phone by our friend who rents the house.
We are struggling with some credit cards that we have run up since sterling started to take a battering but don't really want to have to go into financial details with the bank. We also have a £600 overdraft that I am scared they will take away, if they take it away after they have paid the money they owe us then fine, but if before that would leave us high and dry. I have read that they can no longer close your account just because you reclaim bank charges, is that true? I don't really want the account to get closed as I would struggle to get another account.
We have worked out that charges over the last six years for both our accounts amount to approx £7000

Financial Hardship claims are very strict and this also does nt require the bank to pay any money to you, just makes them look at your case.
To claim under the FH rules you must have the following
Be in arreras with Rent or Mortgage
Be in arreras with Utility bills.
Taking cash out on CC to pay bills etc etc
Must have incured mor than £500 on OD fees
The list goes on, have a good read through the hardship link on here.Abbey Claim 1 - WON £2300 Inc Interest :rotfl:
Abbey Claim 2 - Won £990 :rotfl:
Abbey Claim 3- £1157.80 + Interest @0.25 per day (LBA)
