Windows mail - problem

Can anyone help me with this problem. For no apparent reason, when I open an email in Windows Mail to view it, the box or icon on the top right to close it back down has disappeared. This means that when I eventually close Windows Mail, every single one of the emails I have viewed are shown on the desktop. The only way I can get rid of them is by individually clicking on File and then Close. This is a mjor irritation and I cannot find a solution anywhere. Not a Techie so please any replies in plain speak. Thanks

I had a different problem (my e-mails were not showing).
So first I tried a re-install. (Download windows mail and install it again)
That didnt work so I uninstalled it and then re-installed it and it worked like new.
Not sure if it will work for you but its all I can think of.0 -
