I have an elderly friend who has just had to give up driving and has a Rover 213S which is 21 years old, serviced every year, garaged, and wants it to go to someone who would appreciate it, not scrap it. Any suggestions of where to contact suitable people who might be interested? I've emailed an online Rover club but had no response.

Take lots of pics and put it on ebay, there's a bum for every seat.

Thanks for the advice. The Triumph Acclaim site looked fine but I keep getting error messages clicking on the forum to sell cars. Anyway I'll keep trying.

Great car with Honda made engine as long as the rust hasn't got to the
(British built) body, around the sills at the back in particular. Very comfortable and very economical.

What part of the country are you in. I know someone who may be interested (although it is a modern car by his standards !!) but it will depend on distance.

My friend lives in Birmingham, so if the person you know is also "very north of the border" that may cause difficulties!
  • How much? any tax or test left?
  • If you find a friend with a P6, I'll definitely want to know then.
