We just bought E&L wedding insurance for £19.50 for £6k cover, which is spot on!! OH had put card number in wrong and they were great! Phone call straight away to inform us payment had not gone though and their customer services were very helpful and polite!

I'm gonna go with E&L too. Will do it over the weekend, so that will be another thing crossed off my list!

  • Does anyone know whether any of the insurance policys cover Swine flu? I just had the horrible thought, that what if one of us got it and couldn't attend the wedding as too ill ???

Cleo - you would have to ask the insurers directly about swine flu - although to be honest I cannot see what the fuss is all about with swine flu because it has been so mild, its no worse than any other kind of flu.

Don't worry too much about Swine Flu, I have actually had it and had to stay off work as I work in a hospital, but it was no where bad enough that I would have missed a wedding :D Media has greatly inflated the risks of SF, nomal 'flu' kills more people EVERY winter than have died to date in this country!! If you were so ill you were unable to attend I would assume you would be covered if a doctor recommended you not attend, and would write supporting statement, just the same as if it were any other illness.
