Is Acai Berry weight loss a big fat scam????

I really need to lose 20 pounds asap, keep it off for once, want to do it healthy, with a detox effect, not just eat cabbage for weeks!
I get lots of emails about Acai Berry for weight loss, sounds healthy, but every review I read says Scam Alert, product doesn’t work, expensive, they suck up your money, keep billing you.
I’ve spent enough cash on diets.
There’s a website I found googling weight-loss cleanses: nulean-acaiberrydiet. com, also claims Acai doesn’t do much, has anyone tried Nulean????
I like the sound of it, but want some feedback.
- By the way, I just stumbled across a post on another forum that said there was a lawsuit going on between Oprah and some Acai Berry marketers and manufacturers… can anybody confirm if this is true? Why would Oprah sue the Acai Berry guys… I thought she was endorsing it? Anyone please enlighten us if you have any further info about this.

Maybe she's not actually endorsing it and that's why the lawyers are on it.oprah.com wrote:The Truth About Oprah, Dr. Oz, Acai Berry, MonaVie and Resveratrol- Consumers should be aware that neither Oprah Winfrey nor Dr. Oz are associated with nor do they endorse any açai berry product, company or online solicitation of such products, including MonaVie juice products. Attorneys for Harpo are pursuing companies that claim such an affiliation.
- Neither Oprah nor Dr. Oz are associated with nor do they endorse any specific resveratrol product, company or online solicitation of such products. Any companies that misrepresent their affiliation are making false claims. Harpo attorneys are pursuing companies that claim such an affiliation.

Great - weight loss through diet and exercise can be cheap and healthy. Eat healthy food, but slightly less of it than you would normally eat to maintain your weight - eating slightly less should cost slightly less money. Walk or bike instead of using cars/public transport, when you can - again, saving money. If you're struggling, or concerned about something, speak to your GP - free.
Acai berry pills, on the other hand, are expensive - and there's no reason to think they'll work. Spend the money you save on something you enjoy, instead0 -
Yes...........................it's a big fat scam.0

As has been said it's a scam.
I'm pretty much screwed when it comes to exercising due to health issues, but by being careful what i'm eating i'm losing weight (nearly 2 stone since the end of march), it's not fun, not fast but it works, is cheap and actually saves me money(much less cheese, and no chocolate/biscuits except for pudding on Sunday).
Basically what i'm saying is that to lose weight all that's really needed is to be careful what you eat, and try to do a bit more exercise.0 -
Magic beans??!! Eat loads of Magic Beans and be thin as a rake!!
For goodness sake, what's wrong with some people???
Of COURSE it's a scam
You can't EAT yourself thin, you need to STOP pumping pies in the hole and change diet,
Less food in = Less Fat
People aren't prepared to change diet though (too much effort). Pop some magic pills and all will be great..0 -
A pill which does work is Alli. Of course the concept is to take this pill in combination with a healthier diet and whatever exercise you can tolerate. Many people do report 'side effects', however these effects aren't really 'side effects', more the effect of rapid removal of fat from your diet - you figure it out for yourself
Beyond that, I personally recommend the 'special k diet' as advertised on TV.
Small bowl for breakfast, small bowl for lunch, proper dinner in the evening and no snacking. Take vitamin and mineral pills with your lunch portion to ensure you get your RDAs. Weight drops off if you can stick to it. When weight loss target is gained then swap your lunch bowl for a healthy sandwich or wrap and two pieces of fruit.Legal team on standby0 -
The only thing that makes people lose weight steadily and keep it off is a sensible diet combined with exercise.
There is no such thing as a wonder drug or miracle berry. It is all psychosomatic, most of which has been proven with placebo trials!
Why don't you write down every single thing you eat, and count the calories (keeping to less than 2000 a day), then try doing a 30 minute brisk walk every day?
Or recently one girl took photos of everything she ate, then added up the calories at the end of the day.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
While I agree with most of what you are saying, you do appreciate that Alli isn't a placebo effect - right ?Legal team on standby0
