I know what you mean about plans. I have pretty much sold my house I think. had an offer few weeks back that was just too low so we rejected but the couple have kept not of interest in, had 2 viewing last weeks and 3 booked for today. Solicitor phone to say one of last weeks viewers wants a 2nd look today and has put in note of interest and viewer earlier today also noted interest. So going to do 3rd viewing of the day later on then the repete viewer at 6pm then see what happens on Monday. We are quite keenly priced for area so we will see.

My parents live in rural angus, they bought a 2 bed place with a skelp of land 30 years ago and have basically extended so the place is unrecognisable. It is so unique and still had large gardens that I crave that sort of forever home rather than the streams of identikit houses here. We now have to decide if we are going to buy a forever home in Dundee near both our works to cut fuel costs or buy a suitable for 10 years house then build when we are about 40. It's driving me mad.

  • We're under the 10 day marker now mate. Not to mention:

    - 2 hours from < 200 hours
    - 2 hours from < 12000 minutes
    - currently under the 750,000 second marker.

    Not that I'm counting.

Hi LP / Froggy / Pencekeeper,

Apologies for the delay. My mobile internet thingy ground to a halt for reasons passing understanding last week so I was sans internet for a few days whilst down in deepest, darkest Aylesbury and Maidenhead. Still, back now and back up and running! Just the single week to wait out now which is an amazing feeling - truth be told I haven't had time to give it all that much thought but now that we're approaching the 600,000 second marker, I feel it is probably safe to start a mental countdown until the end of the process!!

Having been down south for a few days, I'll catch everyone up on the latest developments - some big, some small - and activities over my way!

    Cheers,

    Billy

    Hi

9 months to go for me so I'm quite envious of your 7 days! Enjoy the feeling and sense of achievment, you've certainly earned it.

    Hi Billy!

    Thought you got lost
I used to work in Maidenhead 4 years ago :D and all my in laws and plenty of my friends live in Reading..I am back down there tomorrow afternoon for a friend's wedding!

Not long now, please don't expect a bunch of flowers, a bottle of Champagne and huge congratulations from the bank, they tend to be pretty useless... After all we are just a number for them

But on here, we will party all night long when the big day comes!!

Have a great day, am glad you'are back!

    Thanks Adwat,

At the moment, nearly everything else is on the backburner for a month - we're going to have a bit of a blowout in November just for the hell of it!! Incidentally, those 9 months roll in faster than it feels at the moment!

    Cheers,

    Billy

    Morning Froggy,

Thanks for the reply! Maidenhead actually wasn't that bad and we normally stay in Reading when we (or I, as it will be next week) are down that way. M has relatives in Isleworth who we normally pop in to see.

I've given up on the Finance industry as a whole at the moment. Banks are bad enough after my disheartening experience a few weeks back with HSBC but the financial advisors I've talked to so far haven't even bother to pretend to care - and they're trying to win business from me. The first one that does a jig in testament to our achievement will be the one we go for!

I've got the dongle working now so I won't be offline quite as much next week. Missing 7 days of my countdown and excusing the world my inane ramblings for that much time isn't to anyone's benefit...

    Cheers,

    Billy
