Junk Mail Handling - Outlook Express/Tiscali

For some time I've just used webmail through Tiscali who were my original ISP when I had a dial up connection years ago (actually, it was Lineone I started with). I've been paying for the Spam handling service and rarely saw any junk mail in my inbox.
I finally got around to setting up Outlook Express and find that it is downloading every e-mail from my Tiscali account including what would normally have been sent to the 'junk' folder so my inbox is filling up with all the stuff I have managed to avoid seeing for years!
I'm not familiar with Outlook Express or with Outlook as we use Groupwise where I work. Is there any way I can get my Tiscali account only to send what would normally go into my Tiscali inbox (ie, without the junk) to Outlook Express?
Are there any settings in Outlook Express to block junk?
Failing that, is there anything free I can download that would work with what I've got to make the junk go away? I'm on TalkTalk broadband by the way.
I don't want to give up my Tiscali account if I don't have to because I was in early doors when my name was still available, without any numbers or faffing added to it, ie, a sensible e-mail address I'd like to stick with.
Many thanks for any advice.
