Need New Courier

I have been using senitquick for over a year now and have a good relationship with the Parcelforce guys who pick up my parcels, I know within an hour or so when they will collect and I can leave things in the shed if I am not here.

However I heard in the grape vine a few months ago that Parcelforce were out to close down these online guys down. Anyway in the last week the price has jumped from £10.49 (24 hour) to 15.49 almost a 50% jump.

Does anyone know of a very reliable online courier and if possible one that uses Parcelforce?

I have used Pharos before and am fairly happy with them (UPS) and prices are OK'ish (£8.99+VAT+ £1.50 for £100 of cover).

Not that keen on parcels2go, unless anyone can update me on their performance.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I found this ebay seller who uses Parcelforce and his rate for 48 hour UK delivery is £ 8.50 : Parcel-4-U

I have never tried them myself but they have some 367 100% positive feedback so they must be good. HTH

    Also consider http://www.apc-overnight.com/

APC are a group of semi-independent local couriers working via a national depot.

We've always used eBay member parceltosend, never a problem. Our experience seems to have been shared by others as parceltosend's FB has over 6,400 pozzies and only 14 negs. ParcelForce seems to have stiffed all its re-sellers though: the price hikes are so great, it looks like they're trying to put all their re-sellers out of business.

I use Parcels4Delivery.co.uk but I haven't needed to use them since ParcelForce have increased their prices. They were excellent before. I never had a problem and like you could leave my parcels for collection in my shed!

    HI
I have never used A N Other courier. Are they cheaper than Royal Mail's standard parcel rates? And how do you pay for their services?
    any advice welcomed.

Presumably they have to be paid in advance...doh! Does it have to CC or are there other options?

I pay the driver a cheque just now (not sure if all offices will do this) not great but I am going to open an account shortly so that should make life easier.
