i have had an i pod shuffle for a few weeks now, but i'm finding the earphones very uncomfortable to wear, and would like to change them.
has anyone else had the same problem?
if so did you change them and which sort did you change to?

I have used various mp3 players over time, the sound of the creative zen nomad was better than the ipod with whatever head set you used.

I don't like the ipod supplied headsets - I prefer to use Sony ones which I think came with a walkman or possibly purchased somewhere.

I bought Shure isolating earphones. They fit right into your ear (come with 3 different sizes of sleeves so you can find the best fit).

Thet were costly but I've had them for a few years now and they get used a lot.

Try the in ear bud type rather than the round ones usually supplied.

Just as an example of type......http://www.shure.co.uk/ProAudio/Products/ShureProducts/PersonalMonitorSystems/uk_pro_earphones_content

...you do get cheaper version of these too.

The iPod earphones are pretty awful, so I'd definitely recommend an upgrade. Shure make excellent earphones (I have a set of SE530s), or if they're too expensive, Sennheiser do some decent ones too.

Feel free to ignore the "anything sounds better than an iPod" crowd though.

I found the ipod supplied ones keep falling out (must have funny shaped ears).
I have just bought a cheap pair of JVC folding headphones from Amazon for £6.91 which are fine if you don't want to get anything expensive.

Forgive me if this sounds very patronising, but make sure you have them in the right ears! On the odd occasion when I just pick them up and stuff them in, I certainly know when I've got them in the wrong ears as they really do hurt!

I have a pair of Sennheiser CX-400 in ear ones. You can get 3 ear bud tips sizes and they are superb quality sound

WHat ever you decide, just be careful where you buy them from. There are forgeries around that LOOK a good buy at (for example) £14.99 as opposed to £49.99, but they are a forgery and as such a total rip off. So if it looks to good to be tru, it probably is

I wear the ones above. they are so comfortable and are jelly so you don't get sore ears when you wear them for a while. :) Plus them come in lots of colours so you coud get a pair to match the iPod :T

If that's one of the newer models, you'll need to get either a set of 'phones with inline controls or an adapter with the controls built-in.

Nice sounding + reasonable ear buds HERE

Been very happy with them - sound and fit-wise , ear buds are much more comfortable than the normal in ear phone

but sounds like you might be locked into something else by the in-line control malarky

if you prefer a more known brand 7 day shop are doing THESE (and so are amazon for same price HERE )
