Travel bottles (shampoo etc)

Does anyone know where you can buy (cheap) plastic bottles for decanting shampoo etc into for travelling? I've seen some in Superdrug, but they're 75p each.

We just use stuff we already have, e.g. plastic film canisters, empty medicine plastic jars, or bottles with freebie shampoo etc. from hotels/B&Bs

I buy a couple of small bottles of something from the Body Shop and when it's used I refill it with my usual stuff. You can keep them for every holiday then.

Same here, use things we've already got and refill. Tesco have a whole section with small travel things at the moment with the shampoo etc @ 49p upwards.
Asda had a little net bag last year with 4 empty bottles for travel for 99p - haven't seen them this year but then haven't been looking
    I haven't got one!

i do the same as black saturn.

the gift set bottles (60 ml) are great for short trips, whilst their normal size bottles (125ml...IIRC)are fab for slightly longer stays.

even their 'big' bottles are smaller than your average toiletry bottle.

failing that, the other option is to take half/ three thirds empty bottles, and throw them away once you have finished with them. wont help if its space you are trying to save rather than weight, but its an idea to bear in mind.

i am also infamous amongst family and friends for "collecting" hotel toiletry miniatures :D and free samples for use on my travels :rotfl:

[STRIKE]Superdrug sell small empty bottles and jars for decanting products into when you go on holiday. You'll find them with the bath stuff like sponges, flannels and soap dishes.[/STRIKE]

Sorry. Ignore me. Didn't read the initial post properly.

another space saving idea is to look out for stuff called paper soap - small sheets of 'paper' which turn to soap when they come into contact with water. you can normally get quite generous sized packs for about £2-£3
