Is there anywhere I can donate food?
I'm not that optimistic as I'm in North Wales but I don't want to waste the food (due to health reasons I can no longer eat it). Is all packaged/tinned/longlife stuff.
thanks

If there's a local women's refuge they may be glad of a 'random' donation like this.
Alternatively organisations working with the homeless.
I don't know North Wales so can't be more specific, I'm afraid.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Local womens refuges are probably your best bet. You could google, or go in to your local cop shop and ask them for a number for the refuge.
Or ask your local church / Salvation army if they know of any programes in the area that help the homeless.
Or a local homeless shelter. hthCross Stitch Cafe Member No: 86 :j0 -
Do you have a local Rotary Club? They often have collections for tinned food for the needy at Christmas time and if the tinned food is still within date by then they might be prepared to collect it.0

Rotary Club would be my suggestion too0

^^^ totally agree, I used to volunteer and they really appreciated donations of all sorts. The sort of things handed in were like:
Food, mostly tinned or long life, chocolate, teabags etc
Plates & cutlery including kids plates and baby cups etc
Woman products such as packets of tampons, pads etc
Toiletries for adults & kids
New toothbrushes & toothpaste etc
TOWELS <<< Good quality second hand or new, were really needed!
Bed clothes, blankets, new duvets or pillows
Good quality or new woman & kids clothes, underwear, pajamas, socks, shoes, jackets, hats etc
The amount of things handed into the refuge was amazing. At christmas there was always enough make-up, toiletries, chocolates, fashion jewellery to make all the woman up a gift bag from santa, and there was ALWAYS lots of toy gifts for the kids, dvds, games, sweets etc
They will be more than happy to take any food you have, they even take in fresh food for current guests.Yes im disabled....yes I can do things you cant....but you can do things I cant so were equal!0 -
Try your local primary school. They will be collecting for the Harvest Festival soon and they take the items to local people in need. We have to send stuff into school every year for this.I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100
