hi all,i need help here about this problem i have at the moment.i sold an item on ebay for 630 sovs after the paypal commision i recieved 550.
the buyer opened a dispute and now im in a negative ballance of 630! i have about 200 quid left but spent the rest on a holiday for the family.
it has not been decided yet but i know that paypal always lets the buyer win.im willing to pay back whats owed but i cant pay now.
how long before i have a visit from a rather nasty sounding debt collection agency called instum justia? if im given a month to find the money then i can i just cant pay right away (its been a week since the dispute)
honestly if someone can help i will be greatful as i feel literally sick over this.
thanks

don't worry about it.
i take you agree with buyers claim, if not then don't be bullied.
Intrum rarely take cases to litigation over paypal accounts because of the ease of disputing the amount, so don't worry about them, your talking months before litigation if it ever happens.
Intrum don't use door step collectors to my knowledge either instead just opting to harass by phone, just arrange a payment plan with them at what you can afford if it gets to that stage, providing of course you accept liability for the amount.
but nothing to get wound up about, just pay what you can afford.0 -
Intrum thrive on threats, if you tell them to bog off, then they tend to, they don't seem to know how to handle someone saying no to them.0

I worked at IJ as a temp before uni - it was a few years ago but to reassure you, I never heard of anyone getting any visits. They may make you do an income/expenditure form but the best thing to do is be honest and set a realistic amount you can pay back each month and make sure you stick to it......Some people create their own storms....then get upset when it rains!0
