Thanks, the big sheep and milky way were actually already on my list, that was the only 2 i could find.. and exmoor zoo, a bit further but we got clubcard deals for that so thats good..... I know there are caves on the south coast, being a bit thibk, but i take it there are none along the north?
I feel sooo much more confident now about being able to find things to do, i was worried most of our time would be spent at the cadbury outlet (which i must admit i am a little tooo excited about)!Ok, ok, i need to go back onto Weightwatchers, lost 7 stone..... 2 back on, this has to change.....Help!!!:eek:0 -

Hmm I dont know about caves, I dont do much walking and sightseeing down there to be honest, I just go to visit family.
I wouldnt get too excited about the cadbury outlet tbh. Its all overpriced mishapes and bags of what not. Infact Asda just opposite is probably cheaper for cadburys chocolate than the actual cadbury outlet is in Atlantic Village, but then again I do have the real Bournville cadbury factory outlet just 5 miles from where I live!
Other than that there is a Bowling Alley in Barnstaple called lets go superbowl and a go kart track in barnstaple too.
When are you going? If your going next week then its the last week of the entertainment down Braddicks, and on a thursday they have Merlin from Britains Got Talent performing. Its at the Elizabethan on Merley Road in Westward Ho!0 -

We went a few years ago to the big sheep and had a famtasic time - so much so that we took our daughter 3 times in the same week. Not sure if they still do, but at the time they did a big discount if you went back in the same week.
We enjoyed the Milky way too.
HTH
Hope you have a great holiday.

We visited Clovelly when we stayed there as well as driving further down and visiting Boscastle (where they had the terrible floods 4-5 years ago) and Port Isaac (Doc Martin is filmed there). They are all very pretty.
If you are going down on Saturday, then try and get an early start as the M5 motorway can get very busy during the holidays. They are also preparing for some MAJOR roadworks near J16 down to J19 which start on Tuesday 1st September. The motorway here will then be at 50mph and very busy all the time. At the moment, the speed cameras are up, but the speed limit is still 70mph, although it is unlikely that you will get to that speed on this part of the motorway on a Saturday.0 -

Thanks for the heads up about the roadworks on the M5, dangers, we'll be going down to Cornwall in a couple of weeks, so will be leaving even earlier now!DFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -
We've got the roadworks until after Christmas - just like last year when they did the southbound carriageway of the Avonmouth bridge - this year it is the turn of the northbound. This comes only 8/9 years after they widened the carriageway. To avoid some of the traffic, you can come off the motorway at J19, head towards Portishead. At the end of the Portbury Hundred, take a left and keep going (B3124). This does take you through three little villages where you can see the motorway across the valley, before you can rejoin in Clevedon.0
