Morning.. yaaaaawn.... well a nice, but far too quick weekend. Mr Squizz was working Saturday so I pottered about, went home for a bit, picked the last of the garlic from my garden, then went back to his and did a few housework bits which were much appreciated :D Cooked a massive curry and collapsed on the sofa. Yesterday had a good lie in then a wander round the shops - ended up in hysterics trying all the furry winter hats on :rotfl:

Have invested in some running gear for the colder weather - a lovely (?) bright yellow reflective jacket and headband to keep my ears warm - so no more excuses! Off out for a run tonight if I ever get to the end of what seems so far to be a long, slow, boring day!!

Very pleased - Mr Squizz has a big birthday in a couple of months.. one of those ending in '0' you know ;) Had the idea of making him a massive hamper of nice food things as he loves cooking, and had been planning for it being quite expensive (well in my normal present terms).. but today I got an email with a £50 off voucher for a nice food/ deli place which delivers - have to spend £100 but have just spent a happy hour or so filling my virtual basket with lots of nice olive oil, vinegar, honey, etc, etc, smoked sea salt for goodness sake... :rotfl: and got it just over £100 so will only cost me just over £50.. just have to wait till payday now so I can actually buy the stuff :D

It is good timing as it means I can get it out of this month's wages, the only bad thing is having to keep quiet about it till December! :rotfl:

Been for a run tonight, went really well, wrapped up cosy on the sofa now after a big bowl of pasta :)

Just a little update on the Christmas shopping:

Dad - book - £2.45.. need something else!
Mum - book - 56p, nice hand cream £3.49 (should have been £7.99)
    Friend 1 - pashmina - £2.65, lip gloss £3.30 (should have been £7.50)
Friend 2 - know what I'm getting but waiting for vouchers from survey sites, should work out free hopefully!
OH - aaargh dunno - very inconsiderate having a birthday and Christmas close together.. and it has to be something small for taking away in luggage.. any ideas anyone?

Spent so far £12.45, with about £6 cashback due on it.

    Hi Red,

Just found your diary, so thought I would pop in. No ideas on the present front I'm afraid, am struggling enough with my own list  Christmas is too hard!

Brilliant one about the hamper though, that is an excellent idea!

Thanks Katy - you're right it's hard. And men are always more difficult to get presents for!

That is fantastic!!!! Well done you!

As for OH, something small ....... are you going by air? If not, you could get some smellies for him.... Body Shop etc......

Last year, in the 3 for 2 M&S pre-Xmas sale, I bought my brother a hanger thing for belts. It sounds boring, but it was polished and shaved to within an inch of its life, it was a thing of beauty in itself, I loved it. And it was little, cos it was round, with four hooks for belts hanging off at 90 degree angles from one another.

Yes going by air (Easyjet not evil Ryanair this time ;)) ... hmm I don't think he has many belts, though that sounds very nice. He doesn't wear a watch, or any jewellery, uses pretty basic smellies.. thinking about maybe a posh scarf, cashmere or something....

Eurgh work is boring today. Been quite busy lately but today is just little routine bits and pieces and I just can't be bothered! Mind you, I've done my regular look round at other jobs and am sort of counting my blessings, everything out there seems to be part-time or short-term at the moment...
