Indesit washing machine problem

Hi!
My Indesit WD19 isn’t draining. Usually I can unscrew the drain plug bottom right of the machine, and remove any debris in the pipe. At present I can only turn the plug about a ¾ turn, before it gets stuck for some reason, as if it’s jamming against something. Any ideas? Thanks for any help you can give.

As I see it you only have 3 choices...
Force it undone using tools (mole grips maybe) and risk busting it
Pay for somebody to fix it
Just buy a new one
If this is (as I suspect) the screw in drain cap on the pump it is very difficult to see what could be stopping it turning that a bit of brute force and ignorance wouldn't overcome. The trick will be in avoiding busting it.0 -
You have my lost socks? Return them at once, please.0

It's possible that you have crossed the threads when it was screwed in last time (does it look straight on or a bit wonky?) It could also be that something that was in the wash has worked its way through and stuck there (eg underwiring from bra, coin, hairclip, DM's lost locker key from work - all of which we have found in ours at on point or another).
It's a bit weird as with my indesit there is quite alot of screw to get past before you get to the cage bit so I'd be surprised if it was jammed by something.
I'd have a really good look to see if you have screwed it in badly before you do anything more drastic. If you have you may be able to force it or hammer it into the correct alignment.0
