ebay and changing emails

I haven't used my account since Feb so was shocked when I logged in and noticed that there had been a problem with my account (someone using it and ebay had dealt with it, by suspending then reinstating the account) Some charges (only 97p) were accrued at this time, but I am most concerned that I cannot change the email address of the account. I have tried many times but the emails are not coming through to my live.co.uk address. Am I being really silly (have checked spam etc.) Reluctant to use my account with the old address (which I don't access)

There's a link to Live Help in the Useful links sticky - drop by there and see what can be done.
Also, consider that your email account may also have been hacked, and that the emails might be being put in spam.

You need access to your old email address to change to a new one. They send you a confirmation link.
  • This is the problem I find hard to deal with ebay.

Just change your password for your old email. Then create a new account using a new email just to be sure.
  • Thanks everyone. I'd already changed the password to the old email (confirmation emails from ebay going through there fine) as I don't use that account at all. It was the email they send to your new address I wasnt getting. I've contacted them through the messages now and we are in process of chnaging email.
