Hi,
Moving into a rental property that has a phone with a dial tone but all the numbers I dial out say not recognised so assume its been deactivated or something.
Trying to get a handle on the best deal on Home Phone\Broadband
Talktalk £6.49 x 18 month min + £30 Connection (- 3 x 6.49 first 3 months free) = 127.35 - Problem is they want another £59.99 to reactivate the line
BT is over £200 for the 18 months but they will reactivate for free.
Anyone come across another provider that will reactivate for free but are cheaper than BT?

Your TT figure does not include line rental.
Your BT figure would be £202.50 for line rental alone, without broadband. Cheapest BT BB is £15.65pm, with 3 months free. Total £437.25.
So you're not comparing like for like.
But line rental for both is the same (£11.25).
So on that basis £60 for TT reactivation is well worth it.No free lunch, and no free laptop

I didn't included line rental because they are both the same.
The BT Deal is therefore 15.65 x 18 month min = 281.70 (- 3 x 15.65 first three months free) = 234.75
So the TT deal is nearly 60 quid cheaper (It would still have been nicer if I didn't have to pay the additional £60 reactivation
