employer offering me less hours unfair

Hiya Im hoping someone can help me.I am currently on 90 days notice of redundancy which runs out on 12th October I have worked for my employer for 5 years. I currently work a shift pattern of 18.00 till 00.00 5 days a week. As my dept. is closing I have had a consultation with my ops manager and he has intimated that I may be offered a shift on a new dept working 17.00 till 21.00 5 days a week. Now unless I am so thick that I cannot count properly this only equals 20hrs a week not the 30hrs I am contracted to do now.They cannot offer me a job working later as we have no late depts in our company.I was told that they can make me a reasonable offer and if I dont accept then I may loose my right to my compensation package ( redundancy) .I think this is unfair and I have said I dont agree with new shift and have turned it down. Can they take away my right to redundancy after offering me a job that cuts my contracted hours and say its reasonable.My manager says they cannot put me on the new dept on 30hrs as it would be unfair to the part time workers on there who have to do 20 hrs as it would cause unrest. How do I proceed and does anyone know if I would have a case for constructive dismissal if we couldnt reach a compromise. :mad:

Cutting hours/pay 30% would not be a suitable alternative.
