Number 1 son has just bought himself another car and unfortunately there is a nasty pong associated with the aircon.
Searching shows that this is not an isolated problem and the cause is mold in the aircon evaporater.
There are quite a few different products that claim to fix this but reviews of them suggest that the cure may not last very long.
Has anybody here had this problem and got it fixed? If so how - ie what product or service provider?
TIA

Find out where your pollen filter(s) located and change if they look at all bunged up. When replacing them I spray them with kitchen anti-bacterial spray (cheap stuff will do) and then run the a/c on max for around 10 minutes. This normally does the trick.0

For just £3.99, using specialist Comma Air Con Cleaner, your local Halfords store can clean your air con’s air circulation system, eliminating harmful bacteria and odours. Pre-booking may be required - contact your local store. Clean subject to vehicle inspection. Cost of Comma Air Con Cleaner is additional.0 -
I guess it could be the pollen filter so certainly worth a check.0

I did spot this on their website when searching for products but thought it was maybe a typo because it was so cheap - they sell a one-use deodoriser and charge £11+ for that ????0
