Requested charges and sent another's data!

I am really fed up of Barclays bank, earlier this year they applied a RESERVE fund to my account without my consent and if I ran into this fund they charged me £22 every 5 days. I was living on income support and was forced into a spiral of debt I am still struggling to get out of. I called and asked them to take it off- they refused adn I was told I had to manage my finances better.

I have three kids, I am a single parent who was struggling to get her life back togather after leaving a violent man. Two of my kids have disabilies. Life was really grim. I went into my branch twice... I actually cried on two occassions I was so stressed about them taking this money off me (on top of their other charges). They said they couldn't help.

I am taking them to court to reclaim my charges and to crown the situation they have sent all the personal statements and private data of a total stranger in my neighbouring town.#

I called the bank and they said just destroy them straight away.

I think she has the right to know this woman! Don't you?

I'd be tempted to keep them as evidence of their incompetence!

I'd see how much a national newspaper would offer for the story, could be worth a few quid. Then again I just hate Barclays and would love to see them disgraced.

They told everyone they were doing this and you had the option to opt out if you didn't want it.
and if I ran into this fund they charged me £22 every 5 days.
These charges are in their Terms and Conditions, that came with the letter and get mailed periodically also. However, reserve usage fees are lower than unauthorised overdraft fees.
I was told I had to manage my finances better.
Good advice, irrespective of your personal circumstances.

This is inexcusable. The female concerned needs to know, as does the Information Commissioner and perhaps The Daily Mail ;)
