1st Flat - Prepay Meters - HELP!!!!
Hi,
This might sound like a rather naive question to ask, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Myself and my partner are moving into our first flat over the next few weeks. The property will be rented and as such we cannot change the way the the electric and gas is paid for. The landlord has Prepay meters installed (both of which use N-Power).
My question is this...neither of us has any idea whatsoever on how much it is going to cost us (roughly) each month in gas and electric.
It is a 2 bedroom flat, one room will be used as a study. We have 2 computers (we're both at uni) alongside the usual TV, DVD player etc. The property has gas central heating and a combi boiler. We will have an electric washing machine and a gas cooker. There is also an electric shower.
If anyone has any suggestions or advice, or simply experience in how much this could possibly set us back (either weekly or monthly) and can share this knowledge it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Bex

hi, i cant say ill be much help but i have just moved from a two bed house that had a prepay meter for the electric and we had to generally put about £15 a week on our key. only difference being that we had an electric cooker and only one computer. i sorry, prob doesnt help much.
I wouldn't have a clue about the gas though.:j0 -
Not sure if this would help much but go onto on of the comparison sites and put in the details of the flat. This will then show the range of credit meter prices, takes the most expensive and add at least 10%. You also need to remember that your spending will have peaks and troughs that you dont get with monthly DD.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
