Glasses crafter.com Cheap prescription and Designer Glasses.

Warning to anyone using this web site. I ordered glasses from them in April and paid for them during ordering. A few days later they emailed me to tell me that the frames were unavailable now and could I order another pair. Not seeing anything else in the rimless section I wanted I asked for a refund but they suggested they could alter the bridge of any rimless glasses so I ordered another pair. They eventually arrived and surprise surprise the bridge had not been altered. Another email later I was told I should return them to China (another £9) so off they went. We are now 20 emails later, another request for more money (for new lenses to fit the next frames I asked for), and still no glasses and now no response to any emails. Unfortunately I did not know about the 120 day visa chargeback option so I have missed that reclaim opportunity. I would therefore recommend anyone to steer clear of this company.

Just an update. Emailed the company yesterday with a link to this post and low and behold I got a response offering me a refund or another pair of glasses. Being the eternal optimist I opted for another pair of glasses. Will keep everyone posted on progress.:T:T
  • Hi All, I've seen various articles on the net stating that it's quite difficult to get a refund from these guys.

We ordered some glasses which were supposed to be "Armani" however they were quite obivously fake and came wrapped in a piece of chinese newspaper, which doesn't really fill you with confidence.

I ended up sending them an email and after two weeks of exchanges I have finally got a refund.

My advise: don't buy from them, if you have to, use a credit card & go through google checkout for extra protection.

Ok folks can now inform u that my new glasses did arrive and the quality was good. Think the only advice I would give any potential buyer, as well as paying with visa and remembering the 120 day rule would be to confirm by email if the frames u want are in stock before ordering. Tend to think a lot of my problem was down to language difficulties and perhaps a lack of continuity with who I was dealing with.
